Exploring to find new depths

A different model for me this week - a male one, and that means I've got to re-think the pose and how I want it to look. And the end result is another drawing that I'm not 100% happy with - it may need a bit more work doing on it and then I'll be happier with it. But sometimes a drawing is just an idea explored to see what happens. I like the lights and darks in this one and there's movement in there, a focal point, something about to happen, something that has just happened. I like the way the boot is not actually on the back of his hand but looks like it might be. I like the way he's pulling it towards him and the thought of what he is maybe going to do next.

Mmmm... perhaps I'd be happier if the picture had more passion in it..... What do you think?

'Mmmm...' not bad but I've seen you produce better. Maybe if he was wearing a blindfold? He doesn't appear to be doing much.

Indigo - yes, I've done much better. And you're right, he doesn't appear to be doing much! Thanks for your constructive comments - much appreciated!

sweetheart...it actually is good. I suggest you give more of the girl in her boots. as in more flessh...It's in the staemnet you want to say...a gloved hand holding a whip that brings her man's face up to look into her eye...though the picture doesn;'t shopw her face...you know he is.

i think I should go into that business...dominatrix...grrrr.

hehehe

ciao jackie. :P

Spiky - Yes, there needs to be more of the girl and how she's interacting with the man. Its the interaction that would give it more passion, and its certainly lacking in that at the moment.....

Dominatrix, eh? I can just see you in the boots cracking the whip - you'd love that!!! :)

I like the colours, but the boot doesn't really stand out. I wasn't sure what he was doing at first glance.

Trixie - Mmm... yes, the boot is supposed to be the darkest colour, to make it stand out most.

Is there actually a girl inside the boot? ;-)

Hornymaleuk - You tell me!! :)

Hornymaleuk - Of course I know. I painted it.

Since you obviously want a serious answer I will give it to you. No, there wasn't a girl in the boot, but I tried to give the impression that there was to add interest to the painting, and portray the interaction between two people. It doesn't matter that there wasn't a girl there, since she would have been only a "prop" to the painting. If the painting had worked as an idea (and I don't think it does, for various reasons) then the viewer would have been perfectly happy that the girl existed and was an intregal part of the painting.

That's what I thought. There would have been little point in having a real girl inside the boot when she doesn't actually appear in the image. However, I wonder if her absence had an impact on the male model. The dynamics might have been very different if she had been there, and been naked apart from her boots!
Maybe we can explore that idea another time :-)

Hornymaleuk - Yes, I think the dynamics would have been very different! So.... do you want to wear the sexy boots or shall we leave that to the girl, next time!?!! :)
