Horny work

Another drawing session with hornymaleuk and this time I put him through his paces - persuading him to do a full two hour pose with the female model, rather than three shorter sessions like last time. Having said that, I think that maybe the images were better last time! So, if he feels he can suffer being one of my models again, I think we'll be doing shorter poses in the future!! The reason it took so long was because I did a white on black image that I love so much, and find so effective. They always take longer to set up because of the lighting aspect. I'd already got the idea in my head of the pose I wanted to do, before we started the session, because the models had met before and I knew how they fitted together (so to speak!). This pose was of the woman lying back in a state of euphoria, whilst hornymaleuk leant over her inbetween her open knees, grabbing her left buttock as she arched her back. They were lit by a low light to the side, creating interesting shapes and lost lines thereby making the drawing far more interesting for the viewer when you start to consider where the parts of their bodies in the darkness were! Whilst the three of us chatted and I drew them, both hornymaleuk and the female model commented, without moaning, that various parts of their anatomy were aching or in some form of discomfort (my knees were too, after so long in one position, so I could sympathise with them!), but I went on to explain, that for the models the pose isn't always erotic (it can be quite painful or uncomfortable sometimes), and for the artist, drawing the pose isn't sometimes incredibly erotic either, BUT its up to the artist to make it look erotic for the viewer - so on paper it should be deeply erotic - that's my job and what I hope I achieve. That's the plan anyway!

By the way the image is called "Overcome" and its up to the viewer to decide how the title relates to the people in the drawing..........

She does look like she's either in pain or in Ecstasy... Can imagine how they must have felt for the first half hour or so, I can't sit still for five minutes without moving or getting fidgety! Bloody hard work I'd say.. nice picture tho...very nice!

Indigo - thankyou. Yes it is difficult to hold a pose for that long.

It made me think of the Ecstacy of St Theresa, altho having gone to Wikipedia and viewed a pic of the actual statue to refresh my memory, there are not that many physical similarities. Just a similar essence maybe. Lovely drawing. How many times did they have to stop because of cramp?

Having my cake - I'm delighted if you've picked up the essence of the ecstacy of St Theresa from my drawing! Wow.

The models had to have about three breaks I think (I tend to carry on drawing the bits I can whilst they're rolling around in agony, so I wasn't counting fully!)

I am impressed at the stamina of your models! I do enjoy your white on black work.

Luka - Thankyou, I really love the white on black images too. My models need a lot of stamina or else I'd wear them out!

Jackie, I love these black and white drawings. What has inspired them?

Jackie Adshead said...

Sage - Thankyou. What has inspired them? Well, I adore Caravaggio's use of bright light and deep darkness, but that was only the initial starting idea, on top of that I love lost and found edges and drawing only what needs to be seen, and missing out the details that don't need to be added, as the brain will fill in the rest (and find pleasure in doing so). I love setting up the pose and working out which parts of the body will be lit and which left in total darkness. I love using only three tones in a drawing and I consider the black and white drawings to be far more erotic and interesting than a fully coloured, fully lit drawing, as there is a subtlety to them, a secrecy, a hint of mystery, hence making them more erotically charged.

Hi I've recently discovered your blog and I have to say I love it. Paintings are beautiful and intense. Will be visiting regularly. Take care and Enjoy.

Jackie, I think that it is the mystery about them that I find so appealing, definitely the mystery.

Lovely painting, Jackie! I find myself wondering what's going through hornymaleuk's mind as he contemplates this beautiful sight . . .

Maybe now that his pain has subsided he'll tell us on his blog!

Cherrie - He's put his version of our session on his blog, now that his agonies have subsided!

This will sound like a schoolboy comment, but I wonder... has any intimate activity occured ever while you were working with models? Do they, singly or together, ever get carried away?

I know, I know, being an actor, I should know better. This is a professional setting, etc. I myself have appeared nearly nude onstage, so I understand that. It was more a question of the voyear inside me than anything else. I admit it.

Ronjazz - I'm not sure what answer you expect from me. It appears you want me to agree that its a professional setting and we all concentrate hard on producing the art but equally you want me to tell you that lustful passions occur and take over occassionally. So perhaps I'll just reply (with a smile)........ "Maybe"......
